Burnett visit 2017-Cleveland waterfront tour
The Burnett family was home from Arizona for a visit in September 2017, and we had a whirlwind week. Frequent family dinners, three trail walks in the Holden Arboretum, and quite a bit more. We also took an urban trail walk in downtown Cleveland. Starting on Walnut Street, we lunched at the various food trucks that park around the block on Wednesdays during the summer. Then we walked down East 9th Street to North Coast Harbor, which is home to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Science Museum, and much more. For 25 minutes or so, we watched the pigeons and enjoyed the breeze at the end of the 9th Street pier before taking the RTA down to the Flats for an appetizer and beverage at Coastal Taco. Eventually we TRUDGED back up the hill on tired feet and found our car, which we had parked not far from City Hall. It was a hot day but a fun one! We were only sorry Becky and Marty had to work and couldn't join us on this urban trail walk. We all had such a great week doing things together.
