Scampy is an adorable little dog. I googled the breed and learned that Havanese dogs are companionable, affectionate, and intelligent. Ellen adopted him from an Amish family whose little girl had given him the perfect name, Scampy.

I met this charming pair in Chagrin River Park on February 13, 2017. Beaux is a very sweet little rescue dog. It was my pleasure to meet them, and I hope they like their pictures.

I ran into Cindy and Lynn walking down the trail in Chagrin River Park on February 11, 2017. I enjoyed a short chat with them, and they were nice enough to pose for their photo opp.

I met Sheila sitting on this bench waiting for John to finish his walk along the trail in the Rhododendron Garden at Holden Arboretum. They are a delightful couple. Neither demurred when I requested a photo opp, and, as you can see, they are as photogenic as they are delightful. Thank you both for chatting with me and posing so patiently.

I met Dan in Chagrin River Park when we were both nearly run down by a careless bike rider. Thankfully, we escaped injury, and I took advantage of the opportunity to add another Fabulous Friday Face to my Gallery.

I met Bob walking along the trail, enjoying a fresh snowfall. In the few minutes we chatted, I learned that his wife died some years ago and he really misses her, but he has lots of kids and grandkids in the area that he is thankful for. He was in the park that morning because one of his daughters had called to tell him how beautiful it is with a fresh blanket of snow, which motivated him to go out and enjoy the snow.

Not too long after I saw Bob (above), I met Morgan pulling her son down the trail on a sled. While we talked, I admired her hat and snapped her picture. There were lots of families in the park because the surprise snow had created a “snow day” for all the area schools, and it was fun to see all the activity on the sledding hill.

I was standing near the split rail fence in Chagrin River Park on a snowy morning when Ron wandered up. He was looking around at the many active birds that were out and about, and we started to talk about them. Eventually another Ron (a walker I've talked to many times) came by with his dog Bailey and entered the conversation. I had never met this new Ron before, but hopefully will see him in the park again.

When I was still standing at the same spot where I took Ron's picture, Lynn came by. She was the second walker that morning carrying a beverage. My guess is that the overnight snowfall looked so beautiful on the trees that people just decided a walk in the park would be beautiful...and it was. Hopefully it will be one of our last snowfalls of the winter. I'm ready for spring.

I met Bill on the trail in Chagrin River Park. We had a good chat about photography, especially bird photography. He was planning to bring his grandchildren to the park with him soon, hoping to introduce them to some chickadees.
